Senior Vice President, Colliers International

Douglas Marks '92At the Kellogg School of Management, Douglas Marks was the first recipient of the Bennett Honorarium Real Estate Award and was president of the school's real estate club. Marks received his MBA from Kellogg in 1992, and his BA in economics from the University of California, Davis.

Since joining Colliers International in March 1994, Marks has completed over five million-square-feet of consulting, leasing and sales transactions. His experience includes work with landlords and local, national and international companies in office, research and development, and industrial properties. In 1996, Marks accepted an invitation to become an owner of Colliers Parrish International. In 1999, he led Colliers' Silicon Valley office team. In 2000, Marks helped Colliers open a new office in Palo Alto, CA where he continues to work.

Prior to joining Colliers International, Marks was a member of The John Buck Company's Sears Tower marketing team in Chicago. From 1992 to 1994, Marks and his team helped Sears Roebuck redevelop, reposition and ultimately release 1.5 million-square-feet of vacant space in the 3.9 million square-foot building. Prior to attending Kellogg, Marks worked as a loan officer for Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco in commercial and real estate lending.
