Julie Robinson '09 MBA

Senior Vice President for Investments, Ventas, Inc.

Julie Robinson is senior vice president for investments at Ventas, Inc., a leading real estate investment trust and S&P 500 company. Operating at the intersection of healthcare and real estate, Ventas owns a diversified portfolio of over 1,200 properties serving a large and growing aging demographic in North America and the United Kingdom. It is the premier capital partner to leading senior housing and healthcare providers and research institutions.

A member of the Ventas senior leadership team and the company’s Management Capital Committee Executive Session, Robinson is responsible for the prioritization and execution of Ventas’s capital allocation strategy, including real estate acquisitions, entity acquisitions, ground-up developments, joint venture investments and credit facilities. Under Robinson’s leadership, Ventas has closed more than $25 billion in transactions, including transformative investments and trophy developments with leading healthcare providers, senior housing developer/operators and academic medical centers.

Robinson is an accomplished business leader with more than 20 years of experience in M&A, deal structuring, corporate finance, management consulting and strategic planning. She joined Ventas in 2012 following a successful career at General Electric (GE). During her tenure at GE, Robinson played a lead role in debt financing for the senior housing and skilled nursing industry at GE Healthcare Financial Services and led strategic initiatives across multiple GE industry sectors, including energy, insurance and aircraft engines.

Robinson is a member of the Kellogg Real Estate Advisory Council, a group of real estate leaders committed to advancing the school’s impact on the real estate industry through efforts to support students, teaching, research and curriculum. She founded the Ventas Women’s Network, an employee resource group dedicated to the success and engagement of women at Ventas through professional development, career management and mentoring.

Robinson received a BS in finance from Miami University and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
