Chief Executive Officer, Aetos Capital Real Estate
Scott Kelley is the founder of Aetos Capital’s real estate business, managing director of Aetos Capital and chief executive officer of Aetos Capital Real Estate and each of its funds. Through a series of Aetos Capital Asia (“ACA”) real estate opportunity funds, Aetos manages almost $4 billion of equity on behalf of institutional and high net worth clients. Since their inception in 2002, the ACA funds have purchased over $9 billion of real estate and real estate related assets in Japan, China and Korea. ACA continues to be one of the most active foreign investors in the Asian property markets today. Aetos Capital Real Estate has over 120 employees and offices in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beijing.
Prior to joining Aetos Capital, Kelley was at Morgan Stanley for 14 years where he led a number of the most innovative and important real estate transactions globally. At Morgan Stanley, Kelley was a managing director and co-head of Morgan Stanley’s global real estate investment banking group where he was responsible for all international client matters. He was also a member of the investment committees for Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (“MSREF”) I, II and III and the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Special Situations Fund.
Kelley is a member of the Real Estate Roundtable, McIntire School of Commerce Advisory Board, Pension Real Estate Association, the Urban Land Institute, The Executive Committee of Greenprint and a former director of the National Multi-Family Housing Council and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.
Kelley received a BS from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
