In September, Associate Professor of Marketing Alex Chernev published Essential Marketing Frameworks and Concepts, a reference guide offering a systematic and up-to-date overview for use in marketing analysis.

Wiley Press has just published Kellogg on Strategy co-authored (with Sonia Marciano) by David Dranove, the Walter J. McNerney Distinguished Professor of Health Industry Management.

Ranjay Gulati, the Michael Ludwig Distinguished Professor of Strategy and Organizations,was named "Professor of the Year" by the 2005 Kellogg-Schulich EMBA Program.

Yael Hochberg, assistant professor of finance, has co-authored "Whom You Know Matters: Venture Capital Networks and Investment Performance," with Yang Lu and Alexander Ljungqvist. The paper is forthcoming in the Journal of Finance.

Philip Kotler, the SC Johnson & Son Distinguished Professor of International Marketing, lectured to thousands of managers in Beijing, Shanghai and Xian during September. He discussed how Chinese companies can move from exporting low-cost, average-quality goods to developing highly respected global brands. In addition, Kotler reports that his face will soon appear on an Indonesian postage stamp marking the launch of the Philip Kotler Center for ASEAN Marketing in Jakarta. "Considering that the population of Indonesia is 234 million," Kotler jokes, "I will have to wear a disguise on my next visit there."

Adjunct Professor of Business Law R. Mark McCareins has been named to the Best Lawyers in America for 2006 as well as the Chambers Leading Lawyers in America for Business for 2006. He was also named to the Board of Directors of the Fast Break Club (Northwestern Men's Basketball) and the Lawrence Hall Youth Services Board.

Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing Bob Schieffer's first book, Ten Key Customer Insights: Unlocking the Mind of the Market, was published in September by Thomson Texere.
