Find your niche at the nexus of business and AI-driven technology

AI, data and technology have transformed most facets of business. Whether it is from health care to financial services, HR, supply chain, customer service or beyond, there isn't an industry or business function that hasn't been profoundly changed by technology in general  and AI in particular.  But few MBA programs exist specifically to develop the leaders we need for this new environment.

The MBAi program was developed in response to the growing demands of this modern marketplace. The curriculum is unique and jointly designed between leaders in Kellogg and McCormick. It is structured  along with the out-of-classroom experiences  to develop managers and directors who will need to be well-versed on the deeper analytical orientation and the software engineering foundations of work in AI.

Explore the MBAi Program

Our unique, blended approach includes machine learning, computational thinking for business, fintech, introduction to the frontiers of science and technology, and how data science and artificial intelligence are driving innovation.

Specialized Program Features

The MBAi curriculum offers business courses designed with AI components and technology courses that emphasize organizational leadership. This integrated approach distinguishes MBAi from other programs whose siloed approach to subjects teaches business and technology classes separately. The core focus of the program is to provide a cohesive end-to-end experience to a tight-knit group focused on one objective: create technically literate executives capable of leading AI-driven businesses.

Integrated Curriculum

Combine key strengths from two of Northwestern's schools: Kellogg School of Management and McCormick School of Engineering. Many of the core MBA and Technical courses were designed specifically for MBAi students.

One-of-a-kind Practical Experience

Practical application of skills is emphasized throughout the program. Students complete a full-time internship during the summer quarter, followed by an industry capstone project at the end of the program. During the capstone, MBAi students partner with students from Northwestern Engineering's MS in Artificial Intelligence program along with an industry partner to work together in solving a client's present-day problem. Working with those from a technical vs. business background benefits both programs' students as the exposure to differing thought processes prepares them for effectively collaborating across teams.
