EMP-36

Greetings to our EMP-36 friends! I'm excited to announce that Karen Kalbacher Stevens will share the role of alumni representative with me. We have lost track of some of you and would like to reconnect. Please send us an e-mail.

Mark Bader is VP of customer support worldwide for an acquisition by John Deere called "Timberjack." They manufacture tree harvesting and transporting equipment. Mark is traveling often to headquarters in Finland, and the Bader family will move to Alpharetta, Ga., in December. They welcome all Kellogg friends who are visiting Atlanta to stop by.

Lori Richardson Stanwood recently left Snap-on Incorporated and opened her own consulting practice, Stanwood Consulting, Inc., which specializes in marketing and market research. Lori continues to live in Racine, Wis.

Bill and Kathleen Weyers continue to do well in Iowa. They now have three children -- Sam (4), Katelyn (2) and their latest addition, Nicholas (1).

Rick Norden continues on as president of Fairbanks Scales. He and Britton are enjoying time with their son, Taylor, and soon will be tipping the scales with another new addition.

Ed Ollie will soon celebrate his one-year anniversary as executive VP of Wellmont Health Systems in Kingsport, Tenn. Ed is enjoying the change of seasons, the outdoor activities and living near the mountains -- he does not miss the Alabama humidity!

Dennis Webster has returned from Europe and is working for Delphi Automotive in Ohio. He sends his greetings to everyone and is trying to tack down another former European ex-pat, Chris Palmer. Chris how are you and where are you?

Wayne Paul is now in Chicago. He ended his long association with J.B. Hunt Transport Services to join Webvan.Com as their VP and general manager. Webvan is growing tremendously and they recently moved into a third location. They are the first and only shopping service that marries the convenience of online shopping with a personalized courier service that delivers the orders within a 30-minute window of the customeršs choice.

Karen Kalbacher Stevens just purchased a new (old) 1895 Victorian home in Newton, Mass. She has also changed offices for her company, Travel by Design, and will be making two moves at the same time.

Artaj Singh recently resigned from Key Bank as their head of Medical Technology Investment Banking. He was looking for a new challenge and is pursuing some strategic business ventures in Canada and also putting together a Life Sciences Venture Capital Fund, which will be U.S.-based but funded by European Institutions. He and Judi continue to reside in Kentucky and they are looking forward to more leisure travel next year.

Steve Flinn is now with Many Worlds Consulting, Inc. and living with his family in Sugarland, Texas.

Terry Roche used all of his Kellogg skills to coordinate the successful sale of his former company. He was acquired by the new company and has moved into marketing. Terry and his wife, Tere, are doing well and are spending their weekends involved in sports activities with their two boys, Shea (13) and Paul (4).

Tim Mayleben is the CFO at the pharmaceutical company, Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. They recently went public and specialize in the development of heart disease drugs and other drug treatments.

Group B had a mini reunion last March in St. Louis. Jim Schmitt and his wife now have two children -- Harrison and Hannah.

Charlie and Christy Benz and their four kids moved to St. Louis last year and he is managing the biotech issues for Monsanto.

Mari Lyn Bushnell has gone part time at Newell and is now working only 50 hours per week.

Doug Manoogian is still running his own company in Michigan.

Doug Guendel left Gibson Greetings and moved to Indianapolis to join Pearson LLC.

Bob and Mauria Aspell are enjoying their new grandson and the new role of grandparents, and are still living in Hot Springs, Ark.

In closing, I continue to enjoy my director of sales position at Brady Corporation in Milwaukee and enjoy traveling and tying in visits with our fellow EMP classmates. In August, Karen Kalbacher Stevens and I were able to enjoy a great Italian dinner. We hope to put together another mini reunion December luncheon -- watch your emails for information. Take care,
