EMP-30

Hi, classmates! Sorry for the long delay in writing your news, but after a move back to Los Angeles last year, I am finally settled and would love to hear your latest bulletins! Any idea for a (little late) five-year reunion?

Congratulations to Rod Drummond, who was promoted from president of Ingersoll Cutting Toll Company to president and chief operating officer of North American operations of Ingersoll International Inc., the corporate holding company for all Ingersoll companies. In this capacity, Rod is responsible for seven Ingersoll companies, six in the U.S. and one in Germany.

Congratulations also to Jim Guthrie and wife, Maria, who had baby girl, Madelyn on Oct. 13, 1998, joining Jimıs 10-year-old daughter, Ana. Jim left his position as president/COO at United Armored in 1999 to take an equity position in an ATM sales company. While managing that 38-state concern, Jim headed a complementary start-up, ATM-only armored services company, that was billing $9 million annual revenue in only the first 12 months of operation! Currently, Jim is looking for his next challenge and weighing offers.

After combining an interest in salsa dancing with study of fashion design at Instituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy, last summer, my (Teresa Gordon) designs for salsa dresses were recently featured in two Los Angeles shows, including the opening of the Hollywood Academy Awards subway. The designs, under the label ³Tease by Teresa² and featuring fabric purchased in Italy, were modeled by professional salsa dancers of Los Rumberos Dance Company, including two-time world champion salsa dancer Johnny Vazquez. I also continue to host my cable TV talk show featuring business leaders and celebrities for Cox Studios in Los Angeles and AT&T Cable in the Chicago suburbs.
