Dave Anderson was appointed president and CEO of TIAA-CREF Life Insurance Company. Anderson joined TIAA-CREF in 2010 as the organization's senior managing director of enterprise performance and integration, and for the past several months he also has served as interim head of human resources.

Lisa Gelsomino is now a owner/partner in Avalon, having been promoted to president and CEO in 2008. A group that includes the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago, and The Daily Herald Business Ledger has recognized Avalon on the Best Places to Work in Insurance list for two years in a row. In 2012, Lisa was named Commercial Agent of the Year for Overall Excellence as well as top agent for Customer Service and Technology.

Bob Strickland is senior vice president for performance excellence at Catholic Health Initiatives in Englewood, Colo. In addition, he performs on a regular basis with jazz and contemporary music ensembles as an upright bassist and singer. He also composes music for the ensembles. A number of poetry journals have published his writing, including Houseboat, Red Poppy Review and Pale Horse.
