South Florida alums
The new Kellogg Club of South Florida met at Scotty's Landing in Coconut Grove in May.

Florida—South

The Kellogg Club of South Florida inaugurated its official activities with the visit of Deans Jain and Jacobs in February. More than 50 alums and friends turned out at Northern Trust in downtown Miami to hear them speak.
The club plans to host activities every three months throughout the remainder of the year. For more information, please contact club repWilly Kotas.

South Florida gained a Kellogg couple when Kristin Dykema ’97 and Vladimir Barbieri ’97, recent imports from Brazil, married. Mike Mullen ’88, an international business professor at Florida Atlantic, has developed a real Brazilian connection also, although in this case an academic one. Mike has been leading groups of FAU students south to get them exposure on local business practices.

Alicia Blain ’86 has been working in Miami as vice president of information systems for Visa International’s Latin America and Caribbean region. She currently lives on Miami Beach in a great two-door condo with a fabulous ocean view.

Paul Stratta ’94 has returned to la República de Miami after heading up Sunbeam’s Argentine subsidiary during the last 18 months. He should be a father for the second time around by this issue’s publication.

Alberto Ferrer ’93 has swapped ropa vieja for huevos rancheros, abandoning Miami for an position with a Hispanic advertising agency in Los Angeles.
The first half of 2002 found William Kotas ’86 teaching seminars on multi-channel customer contact optimization throughout South America. (His consulting background taught him that the more impressive the title, the more you can charge for the seminar.)
