Pedro
Malan, Brazilian minister of finance, addressed the
Kellogg Club of Brazil on their country's economy. |
Brazil
Our major
accomplishment during our first quarter as Kellogg Alumni
Club co-chairs was a meeting with the Brazilian minister of
finance, Pedro Malan, in March. Several alumni attended the
event to hear the minister discuss how Brazil was able to
reach economic stability, and how the last eight years of
President Cardoso’s administration changed the country.
Mr. Malan also spoke about elections, globalization, trade
barriers and subsidies, including steel and crops.
In the
upcoming months we intend to launch a brief survey to get
a better understanding of our alumni; the last survey was
conducted four years ago. We want to know what initiatives
would be appreciated, ranked in terms of importance.
