EMP-42

Big news from Allen Menard! He just accepted a new position as president and CEO of Alpha Shirt Co. Alpha Shirt is one of the largest companies in the sportswear imprintable apparel industry. Additional company information can be located at www.Alphashirt.com. Allen and his family will be relocated to Philadelphia, Pa., within the next couple of months.

Joan Petros recently accepted a new position as director of finance for the Fluid Power Business Unit of SPX Corporation. The Fluid Power headquarters is located in Rockford, Ill.

Talk about a small world! On her third day in her new position, Joan ran into fellow EMP-42 classmate, Bob Stein, who is conducting consulting work for that particular operation. Bob also dropped a note to inform me of this new opportunity he was working on. He says his new consulting niche seems to be evolving to that of Business Process Improvement, in which he helps clarify overall strategy and gets everyone together to effectively and efficiently pursue the vision.

Congratulations go out to John Prunkl, who is now executive vice president of a start-up energy development company, Private Power LLC. The company is located in Chicago and is focused on making environmentally "clean" energy.
