Anne
Marie (MacPherson) Davis, and husband Chris prepare
to cut the cake at their October wedding. |

Anne Marie
(MacPherson) Davis writes that she "is back in Seattle
and loving it! Met my wonderful husband, Christopher Davis,
in Hawaii last year and married Oct. 27, on Vancouver Island
(waited many years to find the 'one' - but now I understand
'when you know you do just know!"). Chris works with
Deloitte Consulting specializing in technology for large medical
systems. I'm a vice president with Seattle Goodwill, developing
new funding sources for them. We live on a floating home in
Seattle - great for waking up to go water-skiing out your
back door! Traveling and immensely enjoying the Northwest
outdoors - skiing, hiking, learning to mountaineer, sailing,
kayakingŠ all the reasons I moved back to Seattle! If
anyone comes out this way- call us! Our telephone number is
206.860.5716."
Dick
Lunde reports "wife Sue is great, still with Pharmacia
- and I am with Lucent as senior finance manager. Son Andrew
is taking karate and will be tested for his first gup level
this Friday. I so hope he makes it. Daughter Amelia is a treat,
as always. I actually made dinner for Mother's Day, (garlic
is our friend) and it was quite a hit. Seems I may turn it
into a once-a-week gig, on Sundays. The pay? Incalculable.
a happy, relaxed wife! "On a darker note, my mom is nearing
the end of a six-year fight with colon cancer. She has certainly
personified what it means to display 'grace under fire' in
her own way. I only hope I learn from her example of how to
live gracefully, in order to die gracefully but not too soon.
Checkups all around. You too, OK?"
Dennis
Blyly reports that "in spite of the abysmal stock market
performance over the last two years, our firm has done quite
well. Our client base is both happy and growing. My children
are now 6, 8, and 10 and family life just keeps getting better
and better. I figure I have a few more years of that so we're
trying to take advantage of it. I could use some help from
my classmates!
"We
were never smart enough (even after Paoni's class!) to figure
out the whole technology bubble and avoided the sector. With
the industry's stock prices in the tank, we're interested
in learning more about the best companies in the industry.
I would love to have a conversation with the technology cognoscenti
of our group. Stan Woo, Cheryl Duda-Harte, Pat Foy, Robert
Farrar, et al, are you out there? Dennis 574.293.2077.
Juli
Caltrider is now the Mercury chief engineer, a product with
the tagline "Rebels With A Cause!"

Chris
Storm and wife Grite and have been really busy. "I'm
still fully engaged at Boys Ranch and she's studying for a
graduate certification in translation. Our six kids, spread
out as they are, keep us busy as well. Grite's oldest married
last year and lives in Lyon. We acquired a 7-year-old grandson
in the process, who was joined by a new arrival, Marc, in
January. I went from a standing start to two grandsons in
less than a year. Not bad, huh?
"My
oldest son graduates from college this May and will enter
the graduate school at Dartmouth to study for his PhD in Math.
My youngest graduates from high school and will enter Vanderbilt
next year. George, my second son, is a sophomore at Dartmouth
and has become an avid kayaker. I don't know where he got
that idea, as he never saw any water, other than in the sink,
before he left West Texas. He's going to work with a friend
of mine in South Africa as a river
guide next Jan-Mar.
"Grite's
No. 2 lives in Santa Fe and her daughter will be a senior
at Lewis & Clark next year. Life's busy, but great."
One of
my lasting memories of Chris was the belly dance lesson he
received in front of the entire EMP-39 class on his birthday.
For those who were not there, when Chris gets a belly dance
lesson, he is not afraid to dress the part. The memory of
Chris working the abs with his instructor is forever etched
in my mind - thanks Marti Correa! I am going to send you my
therapy bills!
Well,
Chris is at it again. He has entered an Ernest Hemingway look-alike
contest in Key West this July. See his picture on this page
and draw your own conclusions on his chances.
Finally
a Tim Wulf update. Life is busy, but very rewarding. Daughter
Brie (23) is an account clerk and part-time waitress. She
is slowly realizing that while going back to school is tough,
there is a big upside. Son Erik (21) has nearly finished his
associates degree in computer graphics (3.96 GPA to date)
and working full-time running a printing press. He is contemplating
his choices of a four-year degree vs. full-time work with
his live-in girlfriend (does that mean grandpa Tim sometime
in the next few years!). Son Matt is five and in his first
year of team soccer, which provided the opportunity to stand
in a downpour watching him run around. He starts kindergarten
in the fall. Daughter Emily is three and still the wild lefty.
She learns so much from her brother, which is very rewarding
to watch. I recently changed jobs and now work in the medical
device industry as a business unit manager for ACMI. For me,
it was time to get out of heavy industry. It is a little stressful,
as I walked into a $1,000,000+ backlog, many irate customers
and desperate sales reps (many orders six-to-nine months past
due). Lots to clean up fast, but a tremendous upside.
