EMP-36

Greetings, EMP-36 classmates. EMP-36 had a wonderful 5th year reunion celebration in May. Nearly a third of the class attended all or part of the reunion - the largest turnout of any EMP class! The group award for attendance goes to Group G as five of the six members were present: David Karpel, Paul Jachim, Bob Blanchard, John Clouse and Lori Richardson Stanwood.

The weekend started with a gathering at Nevin's on Friday evening. I think all participants enjoyed the fact that there was no 8:30 class to attend on Saturday morning.

The "host with the most" award goes to Logan Otto for sharing his rooftop deck in Chicago for a class get-together on Saturday evening. This party was also attended by our special guest: soon-to-be retired Dean Ed Wilson. Everyone had a great time feasting on hors d'oeuvres, drinking wine, and watching a lovely sunset over Chicago.

Wayne G. Paul was promoted to vice president, Logistics of 7-Eleven, Inc. Wayne manages 7-Eleven's demand chain in support of the corporate strategy of daily fresh foods, improved store in-stock levels, and reduced cost of goods by controlling and reducing overall demand-chain expenses. 7-Eleven, Inc. is observing its 75th anniversary in 2002. Wayne still calls Atlanta, Ga., home and commutes to Dallas. Wayne and his wife, Verlinda, will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary as part of a combined family celebration this summer.

Lori Richardson Stanwood's marketing strategy and research consulting
practice is going well. Two years have passed since the business started and she still enjoys being an entrepreneur.

We wish everyone a wonderful summer.
