EMP-11

Thanks to Ron Nicholas I now have 27 e-mail addresses for EMP-11. It's great to have this many people to poll for Class Notes, and this edition will prove my point.

John Covell is in the Chicago area restoring a Victorian house, plus he has a small cottage in England. He's working as auditor director for Unova, which is a successor company to Litton Industries. Denise Guardino Baker is still running a "terrific company" and is enjoying life with Tim Baker. Tim is trying to qualify for the seniors tour and is as cute as ever, according to Denise. Penny Bordsen left her job at Allstate to assist her daughter, who is recovering from thoracic spine surgery. She is also active in a ministry that feeds homeless people on Sundays and assists in drug rehab. She writes poetry and may be reached at Jpennybd@aol.com.

Richard Cross is in the DePaul area of Chicago living with his wife and two children, Rob (15) and Anne (12). They are both smart as a whip and doing well in school. Rich was widowed when Caroline died of cancer in 1996, and has remarried in 2000 to Sigrid Reusse who was a journalist and is now an administrator for North America for RTS Realtime Systems, Inc. Rich works on strategic planning and is responsible for AT&T Labs/Global network for cellular, Ethernet and satellite. Rich may be reached at richardcross@

reunion would be fun. His start-up company Nyxis Neurotherapies was used by a couple of day Kellogg students in their business plan competition and won the first level.

Your class rep, Russ Luedtke, is still living the life of a locksmith in a small town. Managing a few rental properties and biking when the weather permits. Have been to the Black Hills already this year biking the Mickelson trail for a few days. Even without all the flowers, the trail is super. Write me as soon as you can with news for the next article.
