Class
of 2001 alums gather to celebrate the marriage of Eva
Saks '01 and Ken Press. |
2001
Can anyone
believe it's been a whole year since graduation? It seems
like just yesterday we were sitting in that very hot auditorium
listening to Oprah share her thoughts on ways to lead a successful
life. Well, in the past year, many of us have demonstrated
the many ways in which Kellogg grads continue to succeed in
all facets of life. We've experienced weddings, new babies,
new jobs and travels around the world. Once again, I'm happy
to share news of your Kellogg classmates. Enjoy your summer
and keep in touch!

Births
William
Chang and his wife celebrated the birth of their daughter
on Nov. 2. Nicolle Marie weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and measured
18.5 inches at birth.
Ilyse
Greenberg and her husband had a baby boy, Alfie Rudnick, on
Nov. 14. He is now six months old and doing great. They are
living in Boston, and Ilyse is back to work at the Gillette
Company in the product marketing group for Duracell batteries.
Michele
Marx gave birth to a daughter, Kelsey Elise Marx, on Feb.
1. She was on her lunch break from her job as a senior financial
analyst at the Quaker Oats company when her doctor told her
that she would have to have the baby that day! So, she went
straight to the hospital with her computer on and all her
files out!
Ari Zur
and his wife, Niki, left Chicago in April to move to Florida.
Ari left his job at Cambridge Capital Partners to join Brockway
Moran & Partners, a private equity shop located in Boca
Raton. (I'm sure the great weather is a nice bonus, too!)
Weddings
Eva Saks married Ken Press on May 12, in Nashville, Tenn.
Several class of 2001 alums were in attendance and we all
had a great time learning country line-dances!
Richard
Vazquez married his girlfriend (of nearly 10 years!), Nieves,
on April 6, in San Diego.
Clay
McDaniel and Mandy Levenberg write, "We're continuing
to enjoy living in Seattle, where our jobs in the tech biz
are challenging but also afford us enough time to enjoy the
combo-pack of elevation and agua available here. The Kellogg
community here is small (but more intimate as a consequence),
and we see a good number of folks from classes of 2000 and
2001 around town. Jack Bernstein and I climb every week at
a wall where we often run into Janice Dearlove and Edgar Ejercito,
and Lynn Miller '00 shares a building with Mandy at Amazon.
Other than that, we're delighted that mother nature is starting
to release her grip on the PacNW to let a little sunlight
start shining on our shoulders and we're looking forward to
a few weekends in the Cascades this summer and running the
Hood-to-Coast race in August with a team of Seattle amigos.
Regards to all!"
Paul
Rutten married Brigit Schotman on June 1 in Maastricht, the
Netherlands.
Miguel
Sotomayor married his longtime girlfriend, Rocio, on June
8.
