Tim Coleman writes: "We just recently moved from Indy. As you may recall, I had been leading part of the information technology organization at Lilly for the last several years, mostly related to marketing and sales technologies. I am currently on a developmental assignment as a regional sales leader in Tampa with the osteoporosis specialty business. I guess I've led such significant investments in IT that they are sending me out in the field to recoup the costs!
Nevertheless, we are enjoying Tampa. Since Kellogg, I married Jennifer (whom you may have met, since I was dating her at the time), and we now have two sons, 3 and 5 months. We're enjoying the sun, warm weather, and many attractions across Florida."

Robert Gershon writes from Sandy Hook, Conn.: "After over 13 years as a consultant to the health-care industry, I have finally traded in my frequent-flier miles for a product director position within the industry. In my new position, I am responsible for three product lines for U.S. Surgical, a medical device company. This move has taken my family and me back to the Northeast to be closer to our extended family."

Ana Witherow reports: "I just started a new job about three months ago. After taking eight months off, I decided to get out of the start-up business, and I am now doing financial planning for corporate execs and high-net-worth individuals. I work for a small firm called Brownson, Rehmus & Foxworth. It's 34 years old and has offices in Menlo Park (the Bay Area), Chicago, and New York."

Mark Waldron writes to say that he has just finished the initial turnaround of a medical services leveraged acquisition that he led last year. "I am now about to work on a fast-food buyout. I'm enjoying the entrepreneur's world, but it's a lot of work."

Dave Mullarkey updates us to say that he now has a second daughter, Jillian, born last June. Last November and after more than four years, he left the venture-backed start-up world at SCIREX ("where my Revsine cash-flow analysis skills came in handy") and joined Johnson & Johnson's pharmaceuticals group strategic marketing organization (moving from a 500- to 105,000-person organization, which he says takes some getting used to). "I commuted 90 minutes each way for six months. My wife, Kim, transferred within J&J from McNeil Consumer Healthcare to join Ethicon (surgical devices and products) as director of marketing in Bridgewater, N.J. We are building a place about four miles north of Princeton, and we thought we'd be in by June but it now looks like October for no apparent reason other than 'We don't want to rush things because quality may suffer. I'm sure you can understand, Mr. Mullarkey.'

"On the fun side, after renting a beach house for eight years on Long Beach Island, N.J., we are building one with two other couples. It is a few houses off the ocean in Loveladies, N..J, and will have seven bedrooms (large enough for a family/mini-Kellogg reunion if anyone is interested - just let me know). House will be ready next week, and I assure you we'll be there every weekend this summer. Look for me on the Long Board."
