Hello everyone, it's spring in Chicago, when a young man's fancy turns to writing Class Notes. Too bad this young man didn't spend much time before spring (that would be winter) blabbing with fellow Kelloggians, pinging some e-mails around, checking with some regional emissaries, etc. So, amazingly, only a couple of tidbits this time.

This summer Rosemary, Jamie and I may do some traveling, and if so, we'll be sure to call ahead of time in case we're in your neighborhood. If I show up on your doorstep, you have to tell me how you are and what you've been up to. Willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement on anything juicy.

Received an excellent note from Sharon Seidman Gross, who's had an incredible year. Last Oct. 28, she married Philip Gross. In attendance were Robin Henning Rocchi, Steve Hotchkiss and Susan Fisher Cooper. You can imagine how cathartic it was to have people together for a blessed, beautiful event in the aftermath of 9/11. Sharon's now working for Citibank as vice president in the card marketing group.

Leslie Catherine Waite writes to say that after moving 10 times in the eight years of her marriage, she has left the fields of consulting and banking. She has accepted a position as COO at University Credit Union in Miami, Fla. Cathi and her husband have a daughter (7).

After spending 14 years in high-net-worth asset management at Morgan Stanley, Dave Wright reports that he has moved to a similar group at Merrill Lynch in Chicago and is thriving. He and his wife, Diane, and their family live in Winnetka.

Last time I reported to you that I was in a weight-loss contest, winner take all - $2,000. Well, I dropped 41 pounds, broke the all-time percent body-weight loss record (this is the sixth year of the contest), and lost some "major point-age, dude," on cholesterol too. Yes, thanks, I do feel great. Speaking of delusions of grandeur, I'm training for a triathlon in August. We'll have to see. I really need to work on running, and with a few trips on the horizon to Asia and its 99 percent humidity, I'd be caught dead, literally, training there. I'm swimming a mile in 31 minutes, two to three times a week, and spin three times a week. I just need to figure out if I can ride a real bike on real pavement again. As far as my weight is concerned, I'm up two pounds. since the late February weigh-in, which is great since I've put ice cream back in my diet. Hey, I'm in training and need my milk, cream, sugar and natural flavors. It's now been 13 years, 11 months and 20 days since our graduation. All is forgiven, so you can write me at the e-mail address above.
