Lots of news from Beverly Shipko Sloofman. She is very excited about her upcoming exhibition of oil paintings of desserts at the O.K. Harris Art Gallery in SOHO, her second show there (although the first was Sept. 15 last year, just four days after 9/11). Bev has always painted but began focusing on food and desserts after being inspired by her work at both General Foods and on the M&M Mars account. Kind of ironic for the daughter of a dentist! (Better to paint them than to eat them, she says). Her paintings are part of collections all over the world. Contact her at bshipko@marketing-visions.com if you're interested in making them part of your collection. Between art shows, Bev is still managing director at Marketing Visions, the marketing consultancy she helped husband Jay Sloofman '78 found 16 years ago. Bev also relates that she was recently visited by Carin Gendell '77 from Virginia with her two daughters. She also had a mini-reunion in L.A. with Ed Price '80 and Adele Braun, wife of Larry Braun '81.
