"Brownie" Eagleston '36 writes: "While many
of us will regrettably miss the 66th reunion of our class,
don't we all treasure the memories of those past years, Northwestern's
contribution to our lives, and its continuing leadership role
in the field of education?
Although
our members are now approaching that benchmark of 90, it is
impressive to sense the meaningful roles you have played (and
may continue to play) in your respective communities. Be assured
you have our every good wish and the hope that you will
further update us on your news
by letter or phone call at 317.462.2719."
Willis
H. Guinn '36 writes from Dearborn, Mich.: "I'm on dialysis
now, but pleased to report that, contrary to what I'd been
told, I feel just as good at the end of a session as I did
when it started." Willis retired from the Ford Motor
Co.
Robert
L. Rothenberg '38 writes from Highland Park, Ill.: "My
picture in the alumni directory of 1989 was actually taken
at my 50th NU anniversary in 1988. I am very happy to be an
NU alum. I received an 'N' for playing baseball (catcher)
in 1936, 1937 and 1938. I sold my graphic arts business in
1992, and now I only have to watch my investments so I can
live a normal old-age life. My wife of 55 years, Miriam, died
in 1995. I turned 85 last July 18." Robert had been president
of R. & C. Rothenberg, Co.
