EMP-56

Hello, Class of EMP-56. Spring is coming quickly upon us, although with all the snow we have been getting in Chicagoland, I say, "Not fast enough!" I hope you all have enjoyed the winter holidays and are greeting 2008 with a joyous start. Here's our class news.

Melissa Fabio EMP-56 with her family on their farm outsideof London

Life in London is good for Melissa Fabio and family. They are living on a working farm about 20 miles outside the city. This European assignment has proven to be an incredible experience for the children, who have now separated lambs from their mothers, collected eggs from the chickens, plucked turkeys are getting reading for the chick hatching in March. Melissa has been consulting part-time for DeVry and taking advantage of the opportunity to see some of Europe, traveling to Germany and Italy so far.

Juergen Juffa has accepted a position with Intermatic as the vice president of finance. A $400 million producer of electrical controls (timers) and outdoor lighting ("Malibu"), Intermatic is already improving their bottom line with the addition of a talent like Juergen.

Rob Stoppek is building his career at Saur-Danfoss and has accepted a two-year assignment with them in Italy. His note offers an open invitation for visitors. Perhaps EMP-56 should plan a European vacation and visit our classmates now living there.

Life at KONE continues to be interesting for Deb Robbins. The company is establishing an American headquarters in Lisle, Ill., and she is responsible for marketing and sales effectiveness for all business operations in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Deb has moved back to the Chicagoland area and is establishing dual residency in Lisle and Guilford, Conn.

So, EMP-56, the news is short this edition and I apologize for not having time to poll the group for more. Send me your updates, as we all love to hear about life after the program. Take care and happy spring.
