Paul Schaafsma writes to say that he "left behind the large, corporate law firm life, emulating my entrepreneurial clients by starting up NovusIP, LLC, an intellectual property legal/consulting company specializing in Financial and Internet Technologies." Ron Michalak checks in with this report. "After 12 years in Atlanta, my family and I relocated to the Twin Cities. In March, I accepted a position as VP of marketing for DCM Services in Minneapolis. DCM Services is a national provider of deceased account collection solutions. I joined the management team here, which is headed by Steve Farsht '98, president and COO." Carmine Salvucci is chief development officer at Children's Bureau in Los Angeles, a 103-year old nonprofit agency dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Carmine recently completed a $20 million capital campaign for Children's Bureau to build a comprehensive family center in one of the poorest, most densely populated areas of Los Angeles. Carmine lives in L.A. with Steve, his partner of 17 years, and their adopted 12-year old son, Baltazar. E-mail Carmine at carminesalvucci@all4kids.org.

Mary Willoughby Blanchard writes: "I live in Madison, Wis., and am very happy to be working in renewable energy as director of marketing at Virent Energy Systems, a venture funded company developing technologies to produce renewable gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel from biomass. Gerard Pannekoek writes to say, "After 25 years in the corporate world, with my last job being president and COO of the Chicago Climate Exchange, I decided to retire and am now involved in some entrepreneurial ventures in my small town of Chesterton, Ind."
