1982
The
Class of 1982 has always embraced excellence, and news from
our members supports it in our news to Kellogg World.
Next time we'll have pictures.
Mark DaSilva
is now vice president of sales at Merida Meridian, a leader
in design/marketing of sustainable floor covering. Since he's
new to the Boston area, Mark is interested in connecting with
fellow alums there. Mark has always been an outgoing person,
was a group member with me during our Kellogg days, and continues
to exude the warmest personality. Expect lots of calls, Mark.
His family is very busy during their transition to the Boston
area: wife Judith just launched the new Prevention Magazine
diet Web site (it's the Flat Belly diet). Their son Michael,
a high school senior, is weighing his options for engineering
school, with three offers so far. Son Jon is a junior in high
school and is looking forward to new friends in Boston. Mark
is delighted that he's been able to enjoy proximity to NYC,
taking in Broadway shows and Giants football home games since
his move.
Len Bland checked
in with news that he and Bill Whitehead visited with
each other recently. Bill returned to the Chicago area as
he explores college choices for his son who will soon be graduating
high school. Len himself, owner of Concept Equity Group, just
introduced Mail Barcoding of SW Florida to The Turnaround
Management Group.
Diana
Ingram and I hoped to connect when I was on the West Coast
last fall. She did connect with the wonderful cultures of
Israel and Jordan last year during a visit to both countries.
A world traveler, Diana also visited Japan in November. She
is a long-time IBM executive (joined following Kellogg) who
after 19 years in one division left to become a SVP/GM at
Kinkos (later sold to FedEx). Diana then returned to head
the contact management software business at IBM. More recently
she's in the global technical services group at IBM where
she's now responsible for security and privacy services in
the U.S.
In
Feburary, the PBS television show "Chicago Tonight,"
hosted by Phil Ponce, featured Gwen Cohen.
