Education evolves to meet market demand
Kellogg
School Executive Education leadership evolves to meet market
demand
Dean Dipak C. Jain
announced in February the appointment of Steven Burnett as
associate dean of executive education for the Kellogg School
of Management. Jain also announced a reorganization of the
Executive Education staff to allow for full integration of
the Kellogg School’s top-ranked executive education
programs, which includes both its degree and nondegree programs.
The changes
bring together the Executive
Education Program and Executive
Master’s Program (EMP) with a shared mission and
strategy.
“Increasingly,
our customers are demanding MBA-type programs without the
degree,” said Jain. “We must continually evolve
to meet this demand and remain on the cutting edge of programming,
both on-site at the Allen Center and off-site, through customized
programs at corporate locations around the globe.”
In addition to
Burnett’s appointment, Jain named Erica Kantor assistant
dean of administration for executive education, a newly created
position. Burnett will oversee the executive education portfolio,
and Kantor will oversee the operations for the Allen Center,
including alumni relations, programs, technology and finance/accounting.
Burnett most recently
served as associate director of executive education and director
of custom executive programs. He joined the faculty of the
Kellogg School in 1981 and is a professor of strategic management.
Kantor most recently
was assistant dean and director EMP. Julie Cisek Jones will
be the new director of EMP, moving from the post of director
of admissions and planning for the program. |
