Discover your entrepreneurial spark

Introduced during the 2023-24 academic year, Levy Inspiration Treks are intended to inspire and energize a group of entrepreneurial students around a specific topic by traveling to a relevant market to meet with experts and leaders in that field. Through these trips, we hope to forge connections among like-minded students to encourage building innovative solutions for the problems facing the world. These experiences are led by a faculty member with expertise in a given subject area, who builds the content and guides students on the ground throughout the trip. Levy Inspiration Treks are designed for students with entrepreneurial ambitions and an interest in learning more about the trek's selected topic and are open to Kellogg students in all degree programs.

Applications typically open a few months before each trek and are publicized via the student email listservs and Slack channels. Keep an eye on these channels or on our website to stay up-to-date on upcoming treks and application windows.

A word about the difference between Levy Inspiration Treks and Levy Inspiration Grants, deciding which is right for you, and the possibility of participating in more than one...

Both Inspiration Treks and Inspiration Grants are intended for students who want to be founders and are looking for inspiration beyond secondary/online research. A Inspiration Trek is a small group experience led by a faculty member around a particular topic in a particular location, and an Inspiration Grant is for you (with possibly one other person) to design an itinerary around nearly any topic in any location.

Due to the interest/demand for Inspiration Treks, once you participate in one, you will not be eligible for future treks. You should therefore carefully prioritize the trek that best supports your entrepreneurial journey when choosing to submit an application.

Additionally, if you are approved for an Inspiration Grant trip, it would be extremely unlikely that you would be invited to join a Inspiration Trek after that. Conversely, it would be rare, but possible, to be approved for an Inspiration Grant after having participated on a Inspiration Trek -- if continuation of your entrepreneurial explorations is evident, this will be considered.

Feel free to reach out to the Entrepreneurship at Kellogg team if you have questions about whether an Inspiration Grant or Inspiration Trek makes the most sense for you.
