Taylor W. Brown is a doctoral student in the Duke Sociology department, and is associated with the Duke Network Analysis Center. She has broad interests in computational methods and social media studies. Her dissertation explores gender inequality in creative professions. Taylor holds an MA in sociology from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MSc in evidence-based social intervention from the University of Oxford. Prior to beginning her PhD, Taylor fulfilled an appointment at the National Science Foundation in the division of Social and Economic Sciences.

Aymar Jean "AJ" Christina

Aymar Jean "AJ" Christian is an assistant professor in the Media, Technology and Society program in the Department of Communication Studies at Northwestern University and a fellow at the Peabody Media Center. Dr. Christian researches new media and creative economy. His first book, Open TV: Innovation Beyond Hollywood and the Rise of Web Television (NYU Press 2018), is the first full study on web TV, incorporating years of documenting and participating in this emerging art form and market. He documents the changing market for television across popular and academic publications: on his blog, Televisual; in academic journals, including International Journal of Communication, Continuum, and Transformative Works & Culture; and for trade publications Indiewire, Slate, and Tubefilter, among others.

Taha Yasseri

Senior Research Fellow in Computational Social Science

Taha Yasseri is a Senior Research Fellow in Computational Social Science at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford, a Turing Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute for Data Science, and a Research Fellow in Humanities and Social Sciences at Wolfson College, University of Oxford. Taha Yasseri has interests in analysis of large-scale transactional data to understand human dynamics, government-society interactions, mass collaboration, information dynamics, and opinion dynamics.
