As growth continues to stagnate in saturated, developed markets, corporations and entrepreneurs are increasingly turning abroad for a worthwhile return. This session will highlight the specific opportunities and challenges that are unique to growth in Asia, Africa and Latin America. It will also explore the toolkit that recent MBA graduates need to navigate a complex, globally connected world.

Paola Sapienza Donald C. Clark/HSBC Chair in Consumer Finance: Professor of Finance / Kellogg School of Management

Paola Sapienza's areas of expertise include banking and financial institutions, behavioral economics, behavioral finance, corporate finance, emerging markets and regulation of financial markets, private equity and venture capital. Professor Sapienza has been featured in the Thompson Reuter's list of most influential scientific minds in 2014 and 2015. Professor Sapienza has been an Associate Editor at the Journal of Economic Perspectives, Management Science and the Journal of Finance. She was elected director of the American Finance Association in 2011 for a three-year term. Additionally, Professor Sapienza serves on the board of the Academic Female Finance Committee (AFFECT). Prior to joining Kellogg, Professor Sapienza worked as an economist in the research department of Bank of Italy.

Barbara Hulit '91 Senior Vice President / Fortive

Barbara Hulit oversees the Fortive Business System (FBS) Office, High Growth Markets, IT and Procurement, bringing vision, experience and a commitment to innovation to her role. Prior to joining Danaher, Hulit spent 13 years focusing on strategy and business development as Vice President and Director at The Boston Consulting Group in Chicago. She also served in sales and marketing roles with Noxell Corporation, PepsiCo and Marketing Corporation of America. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas, Austin and her Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Juan Pablo Zamorano President / Colgate North America

Juan Pablo Zamorano currently serves as the President of Colgate North America. Zamorano joined C-P Colombia in 1990 as Product Manager for Palmolive and progressed through roles of increasing responsibility in Oral Care, Personal Care and Home Care. In 1998, he was promoted to Associate Director, Global Business Development - Oral Care. He then moved to the Latin America Division in 1999, where he became Marketing Director for Oral Care and Personal Care. In 2001, Zamorano was promoted to Marketing Director, C-P Central America, and later, became General Manager, C-P Hong Kong. In 2006, Zamorano was promoted to Vice President and General Manager, C-P China. In 2010, he served as Vice President and General Manager, Global Marketing - Home Care and in 2012, became Vice President, Marketing for C-P U.S. Most recently, from 2014 up to March 2016, Juan Pablo was Vice President & General Manager, C-P Mexico.
