Ken Kring spoke at a financial intelligence conference in August, basing part of his presentation on his book, "Business Strategy Mapping — The Power of Knowing How It All Fits Together."

Mary (Scott) Patronik and her family have enjoyed living in the Chicago suburbs for nearly a dozen years. An active volunteer in her community since leaving the workforce to raise her sons, Mary recently became chairman of the Glenview Education Foundation, which raises funds to support innovative educator-based grants for District 34 schools.

John Budd has left Boston Consulting Group after 16 years to join Sonic Corp. as chief development and strategy officer. He oversees domestic and international franchise sales, real estate and construction for the Oklahoma City-based company's 3,500-unit Sonic Drive-In chain. He also works with the senior management team to lead strategic initiatives. He, his wife Rebecca Budd '02, and his sons Jackie, 7, and Marcus, 6, will be drinking a lot of cherry limeades.

With Mambo Design running smoothly, Jasmine Hoedeman decided to try her hand at teaching. She is now an adjunct instructor at Rasmussen and loving it. Since she teaches online, she still has time to service the design and sourcing needs of her retail clients and give back to future business leaders.

Allan Caspar has been promoted to major accounts sales director at Xerox Corporation.  His team will serve Illinois accounts through offices in Chicago, Schaumburg and Springfield. Allan resides in Sherman, Ill., with his wife Tammy and three children, Dana, Logan and Lane.
