When he isn't working as a senior marketing manager, Craig Kensek is soaking up life. Recent highs include skydiving, running a marathon, having a glass panel in his name installed in the geodesic dome at the British Museum, and being listed among San Francisco's most eligible bachelors.
John Humphreys founded a managed security services company three years ago. He's keeping very busy and having fun growing the business. This year, he and his wife visited Argentina and toured the wine country.
Three years ago, Rick Linde launched a search firm specializing in senior level searches in digital media. Things have gone wonderfully and Rick is doing work for a variety of media companies and agencies.
Steve Stirling is enjoying his COO role at ChildFund International in Richmond, Va. ChildFund enables deprived, excluded and vulnerable children in more than 30 countries to achieve their potential. Son Richard is an attorney in the Seattle area, and daughter Racheal works for ad agency 360i/Dentsu in New York City.
David Ing retired from IBM in September 2012 after 28 years. He expected to finish writing his thesis for Aalto University in Finland, but at the beginning of 2013, he was asked to lead a new small business focused on process management in hospitals registered as IBM business partners. In July, his family spent 26 days in Vietnam and China, including a visit to his ancestral home in Lougang.
After more than 10 years, Doug Boyle left Shell and full-time employment to begin teaching MBA students at Rice University. He also has joined a few committees and boards with international emphases.
Kanwal Ghaey opened Vinic Wine Company, a wine boutique, near downtown Evanston a few years ago. His son, Sandeep, manages the store, while Kanwal "gets to do the fun stuff." Vinic Wine has become the go-to store for various Kellogg student club events.
Judy Brand Schumeister enjoyed catching up with classmates at the 30th reunion. She recently had another reason to visit Kellogg: her daughter, Stacey Schumeister '13, graduated this year. Stacey is now working in the New York office of Prophet Brand Strategy. Judy was in corporate finance at 3M in Minneapolis for a number of years, and has now become involved with nonprofits.
