In 2010, after coaching youth football for more than 40 years, Jim Brown ’67, a retired director for Lucent Technologies, published his first book: “More Than a Game: A Vehicle for Child Development"

Jim Brown retired from Lucent Technologies in 1993 after starting their international business division and changing their leadership style to a values-based system. In 2009, he published a book, "More Than a Game: A Vehicle for Child Development," about the application of this leadership style to youth sports, and in 2012, he was inducted into the American Youth Football Hall of Fame after coaching seventh- and eighth-grade travel football teams in Naperville for more than 40 years.
