Club of Switzerland
Coinciding with the worldwide celebration of Kellogg's Centennial, the Kellogg Alumni Club of Switzerland topped 100 members in 2009. It was a fitting capstone for a year that began with our popular annual general meeting in January followed by the well-attended Centennial celebration event in Rüschlikon, near Zurich. Once again demonstrating the power of partnership, the KAC participated with other business-school alumni clubs in Switzerland to host a speaker event with Jean-Claude Bivet, CEO of Hublot, who kept the full-house audience riveted as he shared his career insights and philosophy regarding watch-making and life.
Taking advantage of the natural beauty at its doorstep, the KAC held a dinner cruise in June on Lake Zurich, an event that is becoming a new club tradition. Lake Zurich beckoned again in August, this time with the adrenaline rush of friendly competition. The Kellogg team, comprising eight Kellogg alumni and two Kellogg JVs, competed against other MBA Alumni Dragon Boat teams from leading business schools in the IV Annual Swiss Dragon Boat Race. After a BBQ lunch and socializing, the rowers and drummer were powered up to hit the water. The enthusiastic cheers from family members and friends helped power the team toward the finish line in true Kellogg team spirit and determination. Next year, the KAC plans to have a shot at the trophy! |
