EMP-46

Gregory Calloway, our marathon man, ran the popular Chicago Marathon for the fifth time. His efforts once again raised funds for ALA's Spectrum Scholarship Program and contributed to the Spectrum Presidential Initiative, which hopes to generate $1 million in contributions to Spectrum.

Dominick Cocciemiglio organized a trip to Lambeau Field for the Bears season opener against the Packers. He arranged a traveling event of sorts, with a Saturday poker night in Sheboygan, golf Sunday morning and tailgating at Lambeau by 3 p.m. All that was missing was a victory. Wait till next year! David Hill on the other hand was not at all surprised by the outcome.

Ro Kumar is the chief information officer for DexKnows.com.

Jose Martinez and his family ended the summer break with a trip to Maui where Jose, his wife Kamala and son Christian spent ample time resting and relaxing in paradise. In fact, they plan to go back there in August 2011 to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary and renew their wedding vows. Jose would like to see you all there and perhaps double it as an EMP-46 reunion vacation. He promises to throw a little party by the beach.

Sue Nedza was promoted to a new role at the American Medical Association. She is vice president of clinical quality and patient safety strategy and director of clinical practice solutions. In her new position, she will be working to bring health IT solutions to physicians to support their ability to provide high-quality, safe and cost-effective patient-centered care.

Darrin Reilly was appointed chief operating officer of Plant CML. The company is the leading provider of mission-critical communications and response technologies for public safety, business continuity and homeland defense. Clients range from first-responder operations to global corporations to military deployments. In his role as COO, Darrin assumes responsibility for all customer and market-facing elements of the business, spanning call center applications, emergency notification solutions and P25 land mobile radio. He will be based out of PlantCML's worldwide headquarters in Temecula, Calif. This has made Jane very happy.

Darlene Ziebell is a contributing author to the book, Bootstrap Business. This book is written for those with the entrepreneurial spirit. Rumor has it that she will hold an EMP-46 book signing.

That is it for now, we sign off until next time and leave you with the image of Greg still running, Alan happily married, Jose happily employed, and Sue still trying to fix healthcare. Your virtual social committee is excited to seek ways to keep EMP-46 connected.
