Judy Buckley retired from the U.S. Department of State in May and took a position with Japanese International Tobacco Company as the director of Asia Pacific for Brand Integrity. Judy relocated to Hong Kong and is enjoying the new job.

After a very hectic year, Joe Novicki is back from Boston and running the global business development group for the medication delivery division at Baxter Healthcare. The medication delivery division is a $4 billion division specializing in hospital-based products. Joe says it is great to be back home after about a year of commuting.

Jeff Nemeth is the director of sales for Asia Pacific at RF Micro Devices, a manufacturer of RF (radio frequency) components for the cellular handset industry. Jeff spends about 25 percent of his year traveling around China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan, working with major handset companies like Samsung, LGE, Huawei, ZTE and probably over 1,000 different local brands that most have never heard of, such as iOrange, one of many knockoff iPhones on the market in China. It has been extremely exciting for Jeff to have participated in the hottest growth industry in the fastest-growing economy in the world. Seeing China and the unbridled capitalism in the Chinese markets has been a great experience, he notes. Jeff and Fran live on a lake in Greensboro, N.C., with their two boys, Sam (14) and Jack (6).
