2006 — Full-Time

Michelle Devereux writes: "Oren Schumaker and I were married on May 16 in Fairlawn, Ohio, outside of Cleveland. We were so thankful that so many of our Kellogg friends made the trip from all over the country. They really helped us make our wedding quite a party! After a long night of dancing and celebrating at the wedding, we left early the next morning for a two-week honeymoon in Fiji and New Zealand. Oren and I are now back in Manhattan, where we have lived since graduation."

Takehito Soeda wed Akiko in Tokyo on July 5. Kellogg alums in attendance included Yuji Nagashima, Shigeru Uehara and Katsuhiko Ushikubo.

Amy Hsiao got married on lucky 08.08.09. Amy met her husband, Mark Hwang, in San Francisco when she moved back to California. Apparently, Mark was living in Chi-Town the same time Amy was studying in nearby suburbia Evanston, though they never met each other. Unbeknownst to them, they moved to San Francisco the same week in 2006 and eventually met through mutual friends, fell in love and got married. Joining them on their big day were Kellogg friends Sulakshana Bala Vuori, Alan Becker, Sharad Bhargava, David Cavanaugh, Lindsay Chim, Angela Chou, Amy Chung, Shruti Goenka Jha, JC Goodrich, Chris Grisanti, Kenny Huang, Brian Irwin, Liz Kearney, Tad Kittredge, K-Tjen Khong, Henry Lai, Jessica Lan, Diana Lee Tsai, Jason Maga, Luigi Marandola, Keith Nelson, Lebbonee Price Kittredge, Emily Raman, Michelle Reyes Aleti, Josh Siegel, Sandi Smith, Roger Tsai, Jennifer Yue and Janet Zhou.

Alex and Nicole Schneider are a bit tardy in announcing the birth of their second daughter, Halle Simone, born on April 8.

Shelley A. Sandell and husband Lt. Christopher Allen welcomed daughter Audrey Katherine Allen into the world on April 6. Shelley says, "Dad and baby met for the first time in September when he returned from Iraq (he was deployed since January)."

Nathan Lucht writes: "My wife Mistie and I welcomed our second child, Eleanor Jaye, on May 31. Big sister Lillian loves having a playmate and the two girls keep us on our toes. We continue to live in Lincoln Park."

Adam Scott writes: "Rachel and I, along with big brother Max (2), are pleased to announce the birth of our daughter, Liza Sydney Scott. Liza was born on Aug. 26, weighing 6 pounds, 1 ounce. Everyone is doing very well and sleeping very little! The Scott family still resides in Chicago. I continue to work at an extremely interesting time in the healthcare industry as a strategic and financial adviser to hospitals and health systems. If you're passing through town for fall recruiting at Kellogg, we'd love to see you."

Kristen and David Neuman welcomed their second child, Caroline Lee, on July 20.

Clint Follette and Leah Follette are proud to announce the birth of Asher Clinton Follette, who arrived at 6:03 p.m. Aug. 29 in Frisco, Texas. Asher weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and was 17   inches long.

Masahiko Kambe writes: "Yumiko and I are very happy to announce that Hana and Ai were born on June 16. It is amazing to be the parents of twin girls."

Denis Gaynor writes: "Chris Keating organized a wine-tasting trip to the Willamette Valley south of Portland, Ore., for 30 of his closest Seattle friends, including Dan Laughlin, Drew Sheriff, Denis Gaynor, Simon Moore, Elisabeth Orsini and Angela Gaynor. Nothing says pinot noir like two white stretch Hummer limousines pulling into a small winery's parking lot. The day was followed by dinner and dancing at one of Portland's hottest bars."

Simon Moore writes: "Related to my work at Microsoft, I've written a book on strategic project portfolio management, which contains case studies from several Kellogg alums in different industries, though they are presented anonymously in the book. It was released in November and is available on Amazon."
