1998 — Part-Time

Update from Cathy Weber (see photo on previous page): "I love working for ACCION New Mexico Arizona Colorado as a microfinance loan officer. We provide access to credit, support and inspiration for entrepreneurs. My clients are hard-working Americans and immigrants to the U.S. They start businesses in manufacturing, retail, food and just about every service imaginable. I work with new and existing microbusinesses that create jobs for the owner's family and drive the economy across the Southwest. My first loan was to a rancher and my most recent was to a home-security company in Santa Fe.

"I am looking to work internationally in microfinance within the next three years and take my daughters on an educational and life-changing journey overseas. I also am hoping to job- and home-exchange with another lender who would like to come to the southwest U.S. for six months. This May, I traveled to Israel and Greece for two weeks, visiting cities and sites in Israel, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. While in Greece, I stayed on the island of Santorini."
