Etsuko Nakajima sends news from Japan: "For the first time since graduation, all 1982 Kellogg classmates from Japan got together in Tokyo because I had just returned from the U.S. to live there and Sam Nakamura was vacationing from Chang-Hua, Taiwan. After 27 years, we had no difficulty recognizing each other.
"Sam is president of Kenkoh Industries, an Ichikoh Industries operation which manufactures automobile lamps and mirrors. Yoshi Matsuda is director of Point, a casual-wear company targeting consumers in their 20s and 30s. Hiro Kano is managing director of Refined Capital Partners (which offers access to off-market opportunities in Japan and Asia), and also is head of the asset management marketing division of Concord Investment Group, the largest asset management company in Egypt. Masa Ninomiya founded NIBAC International, a consulting company that facilitates business and people. Taka Shimazu is senior corporate auditor at Mitsubishi Shoji Plastic Corporation. I started eating club Topa! last year and plan to refresh my Spanish in order to attend Spanish cooking school in San Sebastian next summer. Because the short time did not allow us to catch up on all of the life events of the past 27 years, we agreed to meet again and invite others in the area to share the Kellogg experience." |
