Edward
Rafacz, team leader future technology for the Delta Airlines
Master Executive Council Safety Committee, has created and
launched a set of interactive real-time screensavers. These
give the user real-time information when the computer is hooked
up to the Internet; the user can also interact with the information.
Currently, Delta pilots are using this program to get the
latest weather information and the latest safety bulletins.

Ken
Kring has moved into a position as strategic planner with
DRAFT in Chicago. "It's wonderful. I started Aug. 1 and
in a short amount of time I've been able to build for a client
a business strategy map, a brand path strategy, and a marketing

Kathryn
de Maigret has opened her own business and is broker/owner
of Express Capital Lending. The company is a residential lender
that offers jumbo/super jumbo loan amounts (up to $2.4 million)
and specializes in "creative financing." Based on
Napa Valley, Calif., the company focuses on the California
market but is licensed in 20 states. Kathryn can be reached

In March,
Ed Keating left Avantt Consulting to become vice president
of the Software & Information Industry Association's Content
Division, a group for which he had previously been a board
member. Ed is responsible for guiding the direction of the
SIIA's Content Division Working Groups, an assembly of content
providers and industry leaders that assess and develop best
practices for electronic content business models and assess
the business impact of standards.
Art
Tsubaki is back in Illinois, working for Greenlee Textron
in Rockford as director of product management and development.

with more responsibility and an opportunity to further use
my Kellogg education!"
Elaine
Virant has recently joined SAP as a client engagement
manager in their financial services practice in Chicago. Elaine
spent the previous three years with Siebel Systems as a business
development manager working with their CRM product suite and
incentive compensation management system. She and her husband
Roger Shubert live in Chicago and enjoyed the summer
with their two kids: Anita, three, and Garrison, one.
John
T. O'Loughlin
was named senior vice president of marketing, planning and
development at the Los Angeles Times, effective Aug. 1. O'Loughlin
was general manager of the Chicago Tribune's RedEye edition
since its inception in 2002, where he was responsible for
the publication's editorial, circulation, operations, sales,
marketing and financial functions. From 2001 to 2002, he was
director, strategic marketing for Chicago Tribune Company.
He joined the Chicago Tribune in 1990 as a circulation
management trainee and held numerous positions of increasing
responsibility, including circulation director, group sales
and marketing.
