EMP-47
This
has been a great summer for many of our classmates who had
interesting career news to share including some promotions.
Mary Sheehan was promoted to chief operating
officer from senior vice president of clinical services at
Pallative Care Center and Hospice of the North Shore. Kim Reome was promoted to vice president of The Kenrich
Group LLC. J.T. Weis is now general manager of Valeo Transmission.
J.T. and his family have returned to the U.S. and are living
in East Grand Rapids, Mich. J.T. says, "The France odyssey
was fantastic, but it's great to be back!"
Steve
Auburn has a new position as vice president and general
counsel of Pliant Corporation in Schaumburg, Ill., and Don
Versen is now a practice manager supporting the manageability
services business with Sun Microsystems.
Augustin
Mason has moved back to Chicago with Motorola after
living in San Antonio and Farmington, Mich. for the past three
years. He has joined the radio systems division in Schaumburg
as the director of quality. Augustin and his division have
been very active in the Hurricane Katrina support efforts
by delivering vital communications equipment and support to
our public-safety and homeland security customers in the areas
devastated by the hurricane.
Greg
Swanberg has recently moved to Alexandria, Va. to
take a position as vice president, engineering and consulting
with EMCOR. Greg says his new company has a wide variety of
engineers and architects on staff and that he is "fully utilizing
his Kellogg education" in his new position. Greg and Joan
are empty nesters now and this move has brought them only
two hours away from their "weekend" home in Charlottesville,
Va.
Marlon
McClinton has joined the entrepreneurial ranks by
starting Utilivate Technologies, LLC where he is the president
and CEO. Good luck, Marlon, on your new venture!
Polly
MacIsaac is staying busy with her consulting work
and sends word that she has recently begun work on an interesting
new assignment with a brand-new children's entertainment group
that is developing TV programming that will build reading
readiness skills in kids ages 3 to 6. The group just received
a Department of Education "Ready to Learn" grant to fund TV
development and secured a spot on PBS starting in January
2007. Polly will be helping them develop the commercial side
of this program starting with toy licensing.
Bo
Kemper has been very supportive and has stayed involved
with Kellogg in many ways since our graduation. He is active
on the Kellogg Alumni Advisory Board, serving on the executive
committee and chairing the awards committee. Bo is interested
in supporting global educational initiatives and recently
offered to assist a new student, Father Jamels James EMP-65,
who is creating leadership schools for children in India and
is attending Kellogg to gain business skills that will help
him in his efforts. Huge thanks to Bo for staying involved
and helping Kellogg in so many ways!
