Members of EMP-45 enjoyed a "spa weekend" at The Abbey Resort in Lake Geneva, Wis. on Sept. 9 and 10. Those in attendance included Carita Twinem, Linda Kandel, Amy Lazarus and Laurie Spiegelberg.

Frederick "Rick" Axelrod has been appointed president/CEO for the Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside counties (in California). The organization employs 350 technical and administrative staff and provides blood products and services for 32 hospitals in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
