EMP-42

Anthony "Tony" Anigbo permanently relocated to Nigeria in April 2004. He is currently chief consultant neurosurgeon at the national hospital, Abuja.

Daryl Dulaney is proud to announce that his daughter, Erin, graduated from Indiana University this past spring. She majored in journalism and has secured a position with a PR firm, Golin Harris, located in downtown Chicago. She is presently working on the Florida Department of Citrus account. Daryl's son, Brian, is now 17 and a senior at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Ill. He is also captain of the varsity soccer team.

Steve Guse is now living and working in Singapore. He is the regional CFO and manager of Asia Pacific shared services for Caterpillar and has been in this role for the past year. He and his wife, June, have two children, Emily (3) and Caleb (1).

Gopal Lalmalani was recently elected president of the medical staff of Loretto Hospital in Chicago. If that doesn't keep him busy enough, he is also currently serving as president of the DuPage County Medical Society (DCMS). The DCMS is the professional organization serving nearly 1,000 physician members working and/or living in DuPage County, Ill. DCMS is the second-largest county society in Illinois (next to Cook County). They are a component society of the Illinois State Medical Society and the American Medical Association.

Joan Petros made a career change in 2003. She is now teaching in the College of Business at Northern Illinois University. She recently started her sixth semester and feels the best part of her job is working with the students. All business majors are required to take the main course that she teaches and the students have a wide variety of interests. The course is an application of the business principles course that students take in their junior year. They stress cross-functionality and apply the principles to current events and other business situations.

John Prunkl has exciting news to share as well! He started the predecessor company of Primary Energy (located in Oak Brook, Ill.) in late 2001. On Aug. 24, they announced their Canadian public offering and now are trading on the Toronto exchange. John said, "It has been an amazing ride to take the company from zero to a public company in only a couple of years."

An update on Marc Rose Š he moved to Williamsburg, Va. in August 2003 and enrolled in law school at William and Mary. He has one more year to go until he completes his studies. He sold his house in Chicago and bought an older one in Virginia. He has been studying hard and serving as a member of the city's planning commission — an appointed position by the City Council.

Also received an update on Eric Stahre. He and his family moved to Buckinghamshire, England in early 2004 as part of GE Healthcare's integration of their Amersham acquisition. Eric and his family enjoyed their time in England and used it as a launching pad for a number of visits to other parts of Europe. After the completion of the integration, Eric took a new position starting up GE's pharma enterprise activities. With Amersham, GE Healthcare has a leading life-sciences business with pharmaceutical companies as a large, very important customer segment. Eric's team looks across all of GE Healthcare's offerings and works with pharma to address their most critical needs while bringing together their diagnostics and pharma's therapeutics to deliver more value in the clinical setting. Eric remained in the U.K. until his children were done with school. The Stahre family is now living in Pennsylvania and he is working in Princeton. Eric is looking forward to hooking up with fellow EMP-42er John Angelella now that he is within shouting distance!
