EMP-33

Hello EMP-33! It will be 10 years next summer since we gathered weekly to learn and have fun. Anyone interested in helping plan a reunion?

John Chiminski is still with GE Healthcare. After running GE Healthcare's service business for the last three years, John was recently named VP and GM for GE's MR (Magnetic Resonance) Modality, a $1.4 billion global business. John's wife, Laura, and their three children are doing well, and they continue to weather the winters in Wisconsin.

Sam Liang reports that life continues to be fantastic on all fronts. Sam's wife, Kelly, and their three girls, Kendall (8), Skylar (7) and Addison (5), have all settled down quite well in Chester, N.J. Professionally, Sam is in his third year of working on strokes at J&J and is making great progress at developing new therapies. Additionally, he's spending a lot of time working on J&J's acquisition of Guidant. An open invitation exists to all who are in the NJ/NYC area to come stay with the Liangs.

Mike Iannacone is still in Oak Park, Ill., and he is still with Howe Barnes Investments. Mike was promoted last year to managing director and the firm is now nationwide. Mike has been spending a lot of time in the southwest, particularly Texas and Nevada. He has been a speaker at conferences and conventions and is publishing articles for industry journals. Mike also reports that wife Karen and children Camillo John (9) and Sophia (7) are doing well. Earlier this year, Mike and his family made a trip to Italy for 10 days in Rome, landing on the day of the pope's funeral. Mike also traveled to Lake Geneva, Wis., where he looked up Bob McCullaugh, whose family owns the pharmacy in town and in several nearby towns.

Julie Tolan and Mark Wiesman wrote that Sean Cummings and his wife, Julie, walked by the other night and I said, "My God — it will be our 10-year reunion — I think it is time for a party!" Julie says she's going to be part of the organizing committee.

Julie also said that she saw Rick Fantini at his retirement party from Appleton Ideas this summer.

David Donatelli and his wife, Michelle, announced the birth of their son Timothy Shea Donatelli. Timothy was born on July 14, and joins sister, Abigail (5) and brother, Christopher (3). Dave still works at EMC with Sean Kerins.

Barry McCarthy moved to Denver and joined First Data (NYSE: FDC) (Western Union, Telecheck, STAR) about a year ago and is responsible for business and product development for the $4 billion enterprise payments division. Barry reports that Denver sunshine and skiing are both great, and welcomes visitors. Barry's wife Jean Ann, and all three kids (2, 4 and 6) are well and happy.

Bill Wick reports all is well in California and that his oldest son graduated from high school in June.

Karl Saunders continues to be busy with his medical practice and his increasing consulting clients.
