Peet's Coffee & Tea Inc., a Berkeley, Calif.-based specialty coffee roaster and marketer, has appointed Christine "Chris" Lansing to chief marketing officer. Lansing brings more than 16 years of marketing and brand management experience with her to this newly established position. Lansing started her brand management career at Procter & Gamble where she spent 13 years building brands in the company's paper division. Most recently, she served as vice president of marketing, global innovation for The Hershey Co., where she was responsible for the global design, development and commercialization of new confectionery products.

Seven 1989 grads recently gathered in New York City for an "MBA Weekend Update" (AKA "Girls Weekend). They left behind their seven husbands and 19 future Kellogg grads for a weekend of relaxation, eating at some great restaurants, shopping, walking in Central Park, visiting the MOMA and more! In New York for the "refresher course" were Gwen Farley Green, Brooke Bauer Berg, Anne Abbott Randle, Michele Sherman Kalish, Amy Ford Keohane, Julie Williams Murphy and Monica Ring Tucker.

Mark Sneider recently made the leap into entrepreneurship by starting up the U.S. arm of Reardon Smith Whittaker, the U.K.'s No.1 lead generation and business development consultancy. Mark is the majority owner of the U.S. company. RSW helps ad agencies, PR firms and other marketing services entities find qualified leads and sets meetings on their behalf. "We operate like a virtual new business group, delivering an integrated program. We look at each program much more strategically, thinking about each of our agency clients like a brand and creating the most compelling and differentiating positioning for the firm." Mark currently has four clients, having just started the firm.
