Peet's
Coffee & Tea Inc., a Berkeley, Calif.-based specialty
coffee roaster and marketer, has appointed Christine "Chris" Lansing to chief marketing officer. Lansing brings more
than 16 years of marketing and brand management experience
with her to this newly established position. Lansing started
her brand management career at Procter & Gamble where
she spent 13 years building brands in the company's paper
division. Most recently, she served as vice president of marketing,
global innovation for The Hershey Co., where she was responsible
for the global design, development and commercialization of
new confectionery products.
Seven
1989 grads recently gathered in New York City for an "MBA
Weekend Update" (AKA "Girls Weekend). They left behind their
seven husbands and 19 future Kellogg grads for a weekend of
relaxation, eating at some great restaurants, shopping, walking
in Central Park, visiting the MOMA and more! In New York for
the "refresher course" were Gwen Farley Green, Brooke Bauer Berg, Anne Abbott Randle,
Michele Sherman Kalish, Amy Ford Keohane, Julie Williams Murphy and Monica Ring Tucker.
Mark
Sneider recently made the leap into entrepreneurship by starting
up the U.S. arm of Reardon Smith Whittaker, the U.K.'s No.1
lead generation and business development consultancy. Mark
is the majority owner of the U.S. company. RSW helps ad agencies,
PR firms and other marketing services entities find qualified
leads and sets meetings on their behalf. "We operate like
a virtual new business group, delivering an integrated program.
We look at each program much more strategically, thinking
about each of our agency clients like a brand and creating
the most compelling and differentiating positioning for the
firm." Mark currently has four clients, having just started
the firm.
