1988
It's
a shame about your accident, class of '88. The accident that
must have required a doctor to wrap your hands in bandages!
Otherwise, I'm sure I'd be getting emails. Get better soon,
all of you. Perhaps some of you have upbeat stories about
friends or family that made it through Katrina. Upbeat and
true, send 'em in.
Mara
Saltz wrote. She's running her own management consulting
practice and teaching business courses at Houston universities.
This year she managed to set aside time to write about a topic
she'd like to see happen in my lifetime — electrified
guideways and dual mode cars. Her article entitled, "Electrified
Guideways: A Transportation Solution", was recently published
in World Energy Monthly.
Had
lunch with Tom MacDonald who was visiting family over the summer. He won't
agree, but I don't think he looks any different from when
we graduated. Yes, it's not fair.
Jim
Mahoney is CEO of Surface Logix Inc., a drug development
(biotech) company with several products in clinical trials.
We moved his family from Seattle to Boston about two years
ago. After living in different parts of the country, they
decided to move back to Boston, which is close to his family
and where his wife, Pat, went to law school. They have two
children (15 and 12) and the whole Mahoney brood loves living
in the Boston area.
I'm
now responsible for defining Motorola's cell phone portfolio
needs for China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. Looking
forward to a bit of fun. We're having fun and on a roll.
