The
major news for this issue is that we are getting a listserv
developed specifically for our class. Based on overwhelmingly
positive feedback from classmates who attended our reunion
this past May, we will be communicating with each other more
frequently than the thrice-yearly Kellogg
World class notes have allowed.
More details will be forthcoming, but for now, I encourage
all of you to update your information on Kellogg's Web site
so that you will be included in this listserv. If you are
not familiar with listservs, they are discussion mailing lists,
or electronic newsletters, to which everyone can contribute.
Your email information is protected by the Kellogg School
and therefore will not be used for any other purposes beyond
communicating with each other.
What can you put in a listserv email? I'm hoping that
we will use this as a forum to update our colleagues on our
successes, both personal and professional, similar to the
information that is now written in Kellogg World.
In addition, I'm hoping we can also use this listserv to enrich
each other on business opportunities, strategies, etc., as
well as great places to vacation, etc. Since communication
is two-way, the hope is that we stay in touch with each other
better and continue the camaraderie and enthusiasm all of
us walked away with from the reunion.
The Class of '95 has successfully been using a system
similar to this with terrific results. Let's not let our younger
alumni show us up!
For now, please go to alumni.kellogg.northwestern.edu/network_tools/index.htm.
At the top of the screen — next to the search box —
click on "Update Profile" and update your personal information.
Any questions, feel free to send me an email: poat@comcast.net.
