EMP-11
Don Reynolds
says he thinks he'll get a T-shirt saying, "I survived hurricanes
Charley and Frances." The eye of Frances went over their house
and lasted "only" three hours with winds of 105 miles per
hour. No damage to his home. His subdivision, however, looked
as if the Air Force had been using it for bombing practice.
Then came Frances for 30 hours, and again no damage to his
home. Lost power both times, though. Don writes that before
Ivan actually made it to the States and was again predicted
to hit Florida, things nearly went too far. He thanks God
that he made it through both storms. Reach Don at donald.reynolds@att.net.
I am always on
the lookout for classmates. Found two and here are their email
addresses: Jane Burke's is jane@jaburke.net and
Steve Wertheimer's is swertheimer@wcapgroup.com7.
Ruthellyn Musil,
Denise Guardino and Mark Mallory have volunteered
to plan a reunion for EMP-11 next year. Well, Ruthellyn actually
said Mark would help since they work together so well at the
Tribune. Mail them with your thoughts. Ruthellyn still
remembers fondly the Cubs game we attended so long ago as
classmates and thinks we should do this again. It would probably
take a whole weekend to catch up on old times, don't you think?
The three of them would like to hear from all of you very
soon about getting together next year, so don't hesitate to
contact them. Reach Ruthellyn at RMusil@ tribune.com, Mark
at ... well you can probably figure that out, and Denise at
denise.guardino@billjacobs.com.
