Don
Jacobs' gift to Kellogg honors deans
Dean Emeritus
Donald P. Jacobs honored Kellogg's associate and assistant
deans by making a generous gift to the school. At his request,
study group rooms and the Student Affairs Office Suite will
be named for those who have served with him in key leadership
roles. Said Dean Jacobs, "I have made this gift because of
the high regard and feeling of gratitude I have for the associate
and assistant deans and I thought this would be something
that befits them."
The Student
Affairs Office Suite will be named for Edmund J. Wilson, associate
dean for student affairs. Wilson has served Kellogg, for over
25 years, beginning as the director of admissions and now
as leader of the student affairs team. "I love this place,
and the dedication of the Student Affairs Office in my name
is a distinct honor for me," said Wilson. "I'm very proud,
but also humbled by it."
In the
Jacobs Center, eight study group rooms will be named for the
associate and assistant deans who have offices there. Those
honored include: Fran Brasfield '95, assistant dean of student
affairs; Carole Cahill, assistant dean of administrative services;
Catherine Grimsted, associate dean for finance, planning and
technology; Richard Honack '94, assistant dean of external
relations; Roxanne Hori, assistant dean of career management;
Liz Livingston Howard '93, assistant dean of development;
Megan Byrne Krueger '91, assistant dean of alumni relations;
and Michele Rogers, assistant dean of admissions and financial
aid.
At the
James L. Allen Center, Ken Bardach, associate dean for executive
education, and Erica P. Kantor, assistant dean of the Executive
Master's Program, will be honored with the naming of study
group rooms. Vennie Lyons '72, associate dean of The Managers'
Program, was honored two years ago with the naming of the
student affairs suite at Wieboldt Hall.
Carole
Cahill, representing all the deans, said, "It has been an
honor just to work at Kellogg, let alone having our names
attached this wonderful place forever. We all thank Dean Jacobs
for investing in us as new hires and again investing in Kellogg
with this honor."
