Kellogg Executive Women's Network
Many of our Kellogg Executive Women's Network (KEWN) members got together in December 2010 to provide support for people in our community who are struggling in these challenging economic times. KEWN members teamed with Community Alternatives Unlimited (CAU), a nonprofit case management agency that provides services to individuals with disabilities, to help meet the holiday needs of some of the children and families that CAU serves. More than 40 KEWN members attended this annual holiday breakfast and brought gifts to wrap for babies and children, gift cards for families and other essentials that families would otherwise not have for the holidays. Several of our members offered exceptional help and support by sponsoring specific families and providing all of the gifts on their "wish lists" for the holidays. This is the third year that KEWN has hosted this event and the turnout and support from our members continues to grow each year.
KEWN recently launched a LinkedIn group to help our organization's 9,000-plus global members communicate and share information more easily and efficiently. Our members enthusiastically responded to our LinkedIn group in true Kellogg fashion — we had more than 1,200 alumnae join within the first several days of launch and it continues to grow every day. KEWN members in various cities all over the world are communicating, making connections and forming groups to meet and share resources. There are great daily discussions about books, articles, mentorship and leadership. Our members are sharing business resources and contacts, and they are building stronger relationships with fellow alumnae. Please join our discussion!
