Simon Kelner was promoted in October to global and emerging markets recruiting lead for Merck & Co. He has relocated with his family to Luzern, Switzerland for three years.

In memoriam: Shneor Cheshin, 43, passed away on June 18 after being struck in a hit-and-run accident. The accident occurred while Shneor was exercising for the prestigious Iron Man Triathlon competition event, which took place this year in Austria. Shneor was a seventh-generation Jerusalemite. After serving four years in the "Navy Seals Unit" of the Israeli army, he studied law (LLB). An extreme sports enthusiast, he then established a successful tourism company dedicated, among other things, to extreme sports activities, mainly scuba diving, in the very best worldwide resort locations. At the same time, he was active in different additional business initiatives. Shneor will be remembered above all for his passion for life, love for people, and his readiness to help the weak. Yet he was also passionate about studying (for example, while working he studied philosophy at Tel Aviv University), exploring and enjoying big challenges — always along with good company. On the Kellogg side, Shneor will mainly be remembered as a dedicated friend, along with his great ideas and unique sense of humor. Shneor was married to Danit and had three children, Ophir (12), Itamar (8) and Reut (7). In his eulogy for his son, retired Justice Cheshin said (quoting from W.H. Auden's Funeral Blues): "The stars are not wanted now; put out every one/Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun/Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood/For nothing now can ever come to any good." Addressing his son directly, he added: "Shneor my love, I am waiting for you. I will wait for you my entire life."

Shneor ran many marathons and always wished that his wife would join him. In January, with the support of family and friends, Danit fulfilled Shneor's dream and ran a marathon herself, which was dedicated to Shneor.

On behalf of our class KR-06, the Kellogg-Recanati community, and the entire Kellogg alumni community, we would like to send our deepest condolences and thoughts to Shneor's entire family.
