EMP-56

Hello class of EMP-56! The winter months have passed and we are now enjoying the renewal of spring. It seems that our class is keeping quite busy and we continue to grow professionally and personally. Although our news this edition is short, we have some very important happenings:

David Gambino and his wife Mary have expanded their family by adopting a second daughter from China. They traveled to China in late 2010 to pick up the 2-year old with big sister Chiara, who had not been back to her birthplace since her adoption five years ago. The family is doing very well and we wish you all a life of happiness and prosperity!

Sheila Sullivan Tierney and husband Brian welcomed their first daughter, Moira Sullivan Tierney, on Oct. 26. EMP-56 sends the Tierney family a big congratulations and wishes you all a joyful and prosperous life together!

Jason Ferrera has joined ifbyphone as their new vice president of marketing. He continues to be in the Chicagoland area and will be responsible for all facets of ifbyphone's marketing efforts, including overall marketing strategy, new market segments and managing communications with the company's existing customer base. Congratulations, Jason!

David Sulfridge took on a new challenge in September at The Warranty Group, relocating to Shanghai, China. David is the acting managing director there and is leading the transition team to rebuild the company's operating strength and prepare for a permanent country manager in 2011.

Deb Robbins has transitioned back to a role within KONE's North American operating unit. Starting March 1, Deb will lead the Southeast region's business development efforts, including targeted marketing programs, new territory entry strategies, sales management, and customer-relationship building initiatives. Although Deb will miss the excitement of leading a global organization and the many friends made in the last three years, she is very motivated to take on the challenge of front-line leadership and relocating with her husband, Drew, to the Atlanta area.

A reminder note for EMP-56: Our LinkedIn group now has 50 members — about two-thirds of our class. If you haven't joined yet, check out the Kellogg EMP-56 group (you can find the link on my profile) and make the connection!
