EMP-50

We are thrilled to share that we have some new additions! Stephanie Ruyle and Maja Castillo, along with their daughter Marcella, welcomed Gaetano and Isadora to their family. Jane (Karpinski) and Peter Ott welcomed their son Ryan on Oct. 14.

Claudia Temple is enjoying her time at Kraft Foods as associate treasurer (especially with the recent acquisition of Cadbury) and was named one of the risk innovators of the year by Risk and Insurance Magazine. An excerpt from the article: "'Through Claudia's leadership and innovative risk strategies, she has not only accomplished the goals of driving centralized, consistent planning and enterprise risk management throughout Kraft, she has also revealed the potential for what every risk management group could mean to the growth and success of its organization. Claudia's innovation really lies in her redefinition of what a risk manager can mean to a global organization — stepping out of the normal parameters of buying insurance to have a measurable impact on the strength and growth of the company,' said Ryan D. Pratt, senior manager-insurance claims services at Ernst & Young in Chicago."

Congratulations to Claudia . We all knew you had in you!

We heard from Doug Yakola directly and he shares that the Yakola family is all great and loving Maine, but they're ready for the snow to end! Their daughter (4) talks and acts like an 8-year-old all the time. But, she is a true joy. Doug has been wrapped up his latest restructuring work in Miami and he accepted a senior role at McKinsey & Co this year. He is going to work with them to build out a new restructuring practice, providing crisis management and turnaround support to distressed companies. As always, Doug shares that he is looking forward to the challenge!

Finally, Reggie Walker was named one of the top 20 Impact Business Leaders in Atlanta by Business to Business magazine. Reggie, who is a partner in PwC's advisory practice, leads the firm's advisory practice in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. In his role, Reggie is overseeing the growth of PwC's advisory practice in the region, including the integration of the firm's recent acquisitions of BearingPoint and Diamond Consulting. Congratulations, Reg!

Thanks to all those we have heard from. We hope to hear from more of you soon!
