Births: Eric and Emily (LeMaster) O'Brien welcomed a baby boy into the world on Sept. 28. Mom and Dad expect Ellis LeMaster O'Brien will be a fine candidate for Kellogg's Class of 2035! In other news, the family has just moved from New York City back to Atlanta, where Emily will continue working for Coca-Cola as a senior brand manager on the Odwalla brand. In her new role, Emily aims to increase awareness and trial for the juice and smoothie brand. If you're an Odwalla fan, she'd love to hear your thoughts. (And if you're not, please give it a try!)

Leah and Daniel Fleming are pleased to announce the birth of their second child, Ella Miriam Fleming on Dec. 22. Their first child, Dylan, is unsure of his recent promotion to big brother. Daniel is vice president at Chicago-based JPMorgan's investment bank, where he focuses on Diversified Industries clients.

Sarah and Shanker Swamy welcomed a baby girl named Shylah Mare Swamy on July 20. She was 6 pounds, 3ounces at birth.

Marriages: Gary Gebenlian writes: "On May 1, 2010, Anastasia Salapatas and I were married in Chicago. We were joined by so many great Kellogg friends, including Nick Underill, Chris Arbuthnot, Monty Kori, Steve Windfeldt, Gil Horsky, Kristen Fildey, Jason Wyrwicz, Amol Mahajan, Rob Dillon, Mike Sargeant, Mina Arsala, Reshma Dalia, Pratish Sthankiya, and Alejandro Medina."

Kellogg alumni had a mini-reunion and major party weekend in Playa Mujeres, Mexico, last summer for the wedding of Affiong Bassey. Affiong comments, "You only start to understand how strong the Kellogg ties are when your classmates come from as far as Abu Dhabi and the Netherlands to be at your wedding." In attendance were: Ukonwa Ojo '05, Eish Dhillon, Alek Omu '11, Ayopo Erinkitola '03, Isi Okogun '01, Bunmi Banjo '07, Toyin Kolawole, Funmi Afonja '03 and Kenny Huang '06.

Raquel Aceves and Reuben Toledo were married Oct. 23 in Cuernavaca, Mexico. A traditional ceremony in the cathedral was followed by a long-lasting reception, where a contingent of 12 Kellogg alumni partied LAHIMA style! The couple lives in Austin, Texas.

Other fun updates: Brendan Wright and family moved to the Salt Lake City area. Brendan is a manager at Savage Services, a family-owned company cofounded by his grandfather in 1946. Brendan comments, "We are enjoying the nearby mountains, our new pet frogs and visiting with Kellogg friends."

Kalpana Waikar has gone back to Kellogg — not as a student, but as the school's first full-time academic advisor. As part of the role, she provides one-on-one counseling on course selection and academic policies to all full-time students. Her office is in student affairs, and she hopes classmates will stop by whenever they're back at Jacobs. Kalpana also launched her own business, BlossomKids, which offers early childhood enrichment programs in music, fitness and yoga at multiple locations in Chicago. She and her family are enjoying life in Evanston.

Navin Kumar started a new position with Microsoft in Seattle, Wash., as a product marketing manager for XBOX Accessories.
